Childhood Developmental Screening (CDS) claims submission
Don’t fret! CHAS clinics are now able to submit CDS claims directly to MOH. Moreover, for NCIS vaccines, clinics can submit any vaccines done to the National Immunization Registry (NIR) and then make a matching claim to MOH based on the NIR submission.
All of which can be done painlessly and automatically on UNO’s Clinic Management System (CMS).
What is Childhood Developmental Screening
Childhood Developmental Screening (CDS) is a scheme aimed to identify children at risk of developmental issues via early intervention through a series of screenings.
There are a total of 7 touch points during the first 6 years of a child’s development. Each screening includes a combination of growth monitoring, physical examination, and developmental check on the four domains:
Personal-social
Fine motor
Gross motor
Language.
These screenings are typically conducted together with the recommended childhood vaccinations.

There are also multiple tracks of developmental milestones which a child is expected to achieve at different age groups.
CDS has defined 3 key areas:
childhood developmental milestones
Physical and medical examination
Growth monitoring
The childhood developmental screening is tied together with the National Childhood Immunization Schedule (NCIS); which specifies the recommended schedule to go for vaccinations. Singaporean citizens and Permanent Residents can receive full CDS subsidies at CHAS GP clinics and Polyclinics.
